Projects Upon Projects It’s been a couple of weeks since my last post - lots going on to keep me busy! At the end of the month we took our annual camping trip with a few families.
Another boring website update I pity anyone that stumbles upon this website! I’m having tons of fun putting it together, but from the outside this would appear awfully boring to most.
Website Update I finally sorted out a formatting/style issue - I think the problem was with Cloudflare caching. Hopefully I won’t be making many more significant stylesheet changes, so I won’t run into this problem again.
Images and Galleries, Part 2 OK, so yesterday I tried and failed to get images and galleries working reasonably well with the 2nd theme that I have deployed. I’m afraid that I’m just not much of an HTML and CSS wiz, so it was time for a new strategy: find a more full-featured theme.
My mission for today is to build a post using “page bundles” and figure out some image processing stuff.
Update: Yay! I got the page bundles part working. Next up is trying out some image stuff.
A technical update: I’ve mostly automated the source control (backups, yay!) and deployment process. Here’s a rough outline:
Create the new content file, for example “blogpost name.md” in the appropriate directory.
OK, trying out something completely different here! I’ve created this site with Hugo. Hugo is a static site generator, so no DB to deal with and no security concerns - just a simple, blazing fast site (hopefully)!
